September 21, 2026: Android App 1.1.1
- Fixed: the head position check after a photo is taken did not run on Android in versions 1.0.11 and 1.0.12. It works again. How head position detection works.
- Fixed: automatic eye marker placement did not run on Android in versions 1.0.11 and 1.0.12. It works again.
- Improved: leaner Android build. Unused code is now stripped from the app at build time.
September 7, 2026: Android App 1.0.10 and 1.0.11
- New: live head position ring in the camera. It turns green with “Hold still” when the head is straight, or amber with one instruction, such as “Move closer” or asking the patient to face the camera. It never blocks the shutter.
- New: head position check after each photo, with Turn, Up/down and Lean gauges. A photo past a limit gets a “Retake this photo?” prompt, and “Use anyway” always works.
August 20, 2026: WooCommerce Plugin on WordPress.org
- New: Optogrid Eyeglasses for WooCommerce is available on WordPress.org. It adds a lens builder, prescription entry and PD measurement to WooCommerce product pages. Plugin overview.
August 2026: Android App on Google Play
- New: the Optogrid app for Android, with photo-based PD, monocular PD and fitting height, frame overlay, Quick Measure, offline saving and PDF export. Face detection places the eye markers for you to check. Launch post.
