Why the Name Changed
When we launched as Optigrid, the name made sense for what we built: a structured, precise system for capturing optical measurements like Pupillary Distance (PD), Segment Height (SH), and other fitting parameters through a simple photo workflow.
Over time, the name “Optigrid” created confusion with products in the electrical grid optimization space. Search results, inbound emails, and even conference introductions mixed us up with an entirely different industry.
Optogrid resolves that:
- Opto ties directly to optics, vision, and eye care.
- Grid reflects precision, structure, and the measurement technology at the core of the platform.
The result is a name that immediately signals what we do and who we serve.
What Stays the Same
This is a name change, not a product change. Nothing about your day-to-day experience is affected:
- Your account, login credentials, and stored data are unchanged.
- The app works exactly as before, with no disruption to measurements, uploads, or reports.
- Billing, invoicing, and support channels remain the same.
- Existing integrations continue to function without modification.
